Q: Describe your training style:
A: Because we live in a world of computers, the majority of people I see have what I call "computer body": forward head carriage, rounded shoulders, a weak core and turned off glutes. My system is focused on bringing the body back to its anatomically correct position. Through the synergy of myofascial work (Rolling Out), with a roller, an active full body stretch warm up and a comprehensive strength and conditioning program the body gets properly re-aligned. The system I teach will complement any other exercise or training program you are involved in. 


Q: What is “Rolling Out” and why is it
essential to your workout philosophy?

A: Together muscle and fascia make up the myofascial system. For various reasons -- such as inactivity, inflexibility or previous injuries -- the fascia and underlying muscle tissue can bind together causing ‘knots’ or ‘trigger points’. These knots restrict muscle movement, cause pain, reduce flexibility which leads to improper muscle firing.

Rolling Out (using a foam roller or PVC pipe) stretches muscles, tendons and releases the fascia. This increases blood flow and circulation to the soft tissue, allowing muscles to fire at peak efficiency during exercise. Rolling Out warms up the muscles and increases flexibility by breaking down adhesions between muscle fibers and allowing more blood to pump through your body, thereby increasing your metabolic rate. Consistency with rolling out is one of the most effective ways to improve the appearance and function of your body.

Q: Can anyone train with you?
A: Absolutely, my work with each client is tailored to their body's needs and personal goals. I train some clients year-round and some in preparation for specific events -- from reunions and weddings to training camps, concert tours, films, red carpet events, etc.. I am based in Los Angeles but work with clients all over the world.
